Prif Beiriannydd Traffig a Phriffyrdd / Principal Traffic & Highways Engineer

Lead and manage a team of professional staff to ensure effective service delivery of Traffic Management, Road Safety and Highway Development Control in line with the Councils polices, relevant legislation, codes of practices and contractual requirements to protect the integrity of the Councils highway network.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of professional staff to ensure effective service delivery of Traffic Management, Road Safety and Highway Development Control in line with the Councils polices, relevant legislation, codes of practices and contractual requirements to protect the integrity of the Councils highway network.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of a range of key traffic and road safety projects in Merthyr Tydfil.
  • Meet with and provide update reports to stakeholders, senior officers and councillors.
  • Provide information and contact points for further enquiries (e.g., Carwyn Morris) as required.
  • Evidence of all qualifications specified as essential will be required.
