The Connect to Work programme is a government initiative aimed at helping individuals on a voluntary basis with disabilities, health conditions and complex barriers to find employment and sustain work. The role will form part of an integral part of the Department of Work and Pensions - Connect to Work Programme within the structure at Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.
The role of Governance and Finance Officer will have the responsibility of supporting the Operational Coordinator and developing, implementing and maintaining all processes required for the successful delivery of the grant requirements. The role will also require working across Southeast Wales Local Authorities to develop systems and processes during the initial year and to focus on maintaining links with Department of Work and Pensions and also Cardiff City Council as lead accountable body, on the ongoing programme delivery mechanisms through to the life of the programme.
