Role Overview: The Head of Curriculum, Collaboration and Improvement is a newly defined role providing strong, credible system leadership to advance equity and excellence across education in Merthyr Tydfil.
Responsibilities:
- Work strategically with schools, leaders and wider partners to lead collaborative approaches to school improvement.
- Support schools to strengthen and refine their curriculum offer.
- Build collective responsibility for improving outcomes across the system.
- Provide strategic oversight to key areas including Governor Support service, Welsh in Education/Welsh standards and School Collaboration and Improvement Partners, ensuring these functions are fully aligned with the wider school improvement and corporate agenda.

- Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh.
