This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting children, young people and families across Merthyr Tydfil to achieve meaningful and lasting change.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual with experience of working with children and families. You will build positive relationships, communicate effectively and remain focused on achieving the best outcomes for children.

The Supporting Change Team provides both Outreach and Out-of-Hours support, delivering practical and intensive interventions to families when they need them most. Working alongside colleagues and partner agencies, you will help strengthen family resilience, support positive parenting and promote the safety and wellbeing of children.

This varied role includes direct work with families, support within the family home, implementation of support plans, family time arrangements and responding to emerging needs through the out-of-hours service.

The role operates on a five-day rota between Monday and Saturday, providing flexible support outside traditional office hours.

Fixed-term post until 31 March 2027, with any extension subject to future funding arrangements.

Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
