31.5 Hours = 85.13% = £23,975 – £25,590 per annum
We are seeking Residential Support Workers to help set up our own residential children’s home within the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough. This is an exciting time to join the local authority as we begin to establish a residential arm to support children and young people in our care.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will be integral in providing a safe and secure environment where children and young people can thrive. Responsibilities include providing emotional and social support, managing challenging behaviour, and understanding early childhood trauma.
The role involves supporting the day-to-day care of children, including routines, education, activities, hobbies, and community involvement. You will undertake domestic tasks, attend appointments, and maintain contact with family and friends. The young people are cared for 24/7, and sleep-in shifts are required on a rota basis.
