Grade 1 SCP 5 – £25,583 per annum pro rata FTE
Required as soon as possible
Responsible for the simple preparation of meals, setting up the service counter and dining areas, cleaning of catering operation; this is to include kitchen and dining areas to the standard as laid down by the Management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Simple preparation of meals to include preparation of vegetables, snacks, drinks and cooking of prepared products and dishes.
Setting up of servery counter/point and service of food, practising portion control as per guidelines, also ensuring good food presentation.
Preparation and carrying of food and equipment to point of sales/service area and cleaning afterwards, also the setting up and cleaning of dining areas.
Washing up of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils, ensuring good Health and Safety practices.
Removal of waste products and rubbish from all eating areas as per guidelines.
Maintain a clean working environment as set out in the Cleaning Schedule by ensuring regular cleaning of all work surfaces, equipment, storerooms and ancillary areas.
- Reporting of all equipment not working properly to onsite Manager (Cook)
- Reporting of any Health & Safety issues
- Comply with Food Hygiene Regulations (Level II Food Hygiene Certificate essential)
- Ensure food is stored correctly and at correct temperatures, if applicable
- The recording of all high risk food temperatures on delivery and prior to service, if applicable
Promote and sell through encouragement and friendliness towards the customer and portraying a professional approach through correct dress and appearance.
To work as part of a team under the guidance of the on-site Manager (Cook).
Prepare and contribute towards the identification of your training and development needs, utilising all learning opportunities and applying the knowledge and skills acquired to your role within the Organisation.
To comply with all Organisation administrative procedures as set out by MTCBC
GENERAL: To undertake such duties as may reasonably be required of you commensurate with your salary grade and within your capabilities.
A valid Level II hygiene certificate is essential for this position.
