Class Teacher – Mainly Foundation Phase

Class Teacher – Mainly Foundation Phase but will be required to work alongside KS2 pupils in a team approach.

Teacher\’s Main scale: Plus Special Needs Allowance 1.

Responsibilities

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a knowledge and understanding of ASD.
  • Be able to work as part of a committed hard‑working team.
  • Be caring, positive and make our children\’s learning fun and enjoyable.
  • Be highly motivated and hold high expectations of our children\’s wellbeing, achievements, and attitudes to learning.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents, the Governing Body and the wider community.

Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification in the field of additional learning would be an advantage.
  • A candidate without Additional needs qualifications that has a desire to work with ASD pupils, would be required, if appointed, to give an understanding to follow an appropriate course of training, whenever the LA could make the necessary arrangements.
