Household Waste & Recycling Centres Team Leader
To work as a proactive member of the waste management team, managing the operation of the Household waste & Recycling Centers, ensuring that the sites achieve a high recovery rate contributing to Merthyr Tydfil achieving waste related targets.

  • To manage the operations and staff at the sites.
  • Ensuring that the HWRCs are operating in compliance with the site permit requirements at all times.
  • To control material input and export at the sites in accordance with the waste hierarchy.
  • To record and report material throughputs in accordance with legislation and council policies.
  • To ensure markets are available for all materials collected at the sites.
  • To ensure that there is always capacity for the acceptance of materials.
  • To develop and improve the performance of the sites, operationally and in relation to legislative targets.
