Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is seeking an Assistant Cook for Abercanaid Community Primary School. The position is for 17.5 hours per week (Term Time Only) with potential for an additional 5 hours per week as a Breakfast Club Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ordering, preparation, cooking, and service of meals in compliance with legislative requirements and good practice.
- Organisation, supervision, and training of catering staff to provide a quality service in a safe working environment.
- Compliance with all administrative and financial procedures set out in the Contract specification.
Requirements:
- A valid Level II hygiene certificate is essential.
- This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
- Completion of a 10-hour online Work Welsh Course is required prior to starting work.
