The Management Committee at Ty Dysgu Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) wish to appoint a caretaker to become part of a hard‑working team of staff who are committed to the school, the families and its community. The person appointed will need to be dedicated to fulfilling the role purposefully with the needs of the children at the forefront and become passionate about the vision that staff and Management Committee have for the PRU.

Ty Dysgu is maintained by Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, providing education for pupils aged 3-16 years with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) and other additional learning needs (ALN). The job entails opening and closing the school, health and safety matters and tasks specified in the job description.

The post requires the individual to:
