About Us
We are a Recycling & Skip hire Business, operating from our Merthyr office. We are seeking a motivated and organised Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to support the company’s accountant and contribute to the smooth running of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit control
- Managing the purchase ledger
- Handling the sales ledger
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Preparing draft VAT returns
- Preparing draft accounts to trial balance
- Using Xero accounting software for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
- Using our skip tracking software
- Carrying out general office administration as required
Experience & Skills
- Experience in an accounting environment is essential
- Familiarity with Xero is extremely beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
