Serving some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, Merson Signs is an expert designer, manufacturer and installer of signs. We are now looking for a SHEQ Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a terrific opportunity for a NEBOSH qualified SHEQ leader with strong knowledge of UK regulations and ISO 9001 and 14001 systems to join our values-led organisation. You’ll have the chance to build a strong, practical SHEQ culture that supports both our people and performance, giving you the platform to drive meaningful change.
As the SHEQ Manager, you will lead our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality function. Taking ownership of the SHEQ strategy, policies and management systems, you will ensure full compliance with UK legislation while maintaining and developing ISO-aligned systems to support accreditation and audit success. Through audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments, you will ensure safe and effective practices across our manufacturing, warehousing and installation environments.
Additionally, you will:
- Promote a strong safety-first culture across all business functions
- Analyse SHEQ data and present performance reports to leadership
- Provide coaching, training and guidance to managers and employees
- Act as the main point of contact for regulators, customers and accreditation bodies
About You
To be considered as our SHEQ Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience in a SHEQ management role within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or a similar industry
- Experience managing ISO 9001 and 14001 systems
- Strong working knowledge of UK SHEQ regulations and best practice
- Confident communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels and drive cultural change
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- A NEBOSH General Certificate (at a minimum) or equivalent
