The Company
Serving some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, Merson Signs is an expert designer, manufacturer and installer of signs. We are now looking for a Trainee Production Planner to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Thursday, 7am to 4pm, and Friday, 7am to 12pm.

The Role
As a Trainee Production Planner, you will support the smooth running of our manufacturing operations by helping schedule new jobs and co-ordinate daily production activities. After initial training, you will enter new jobs into the production scheduling system and take part in daily meetings to review workloads and track progress. Working alongside, and learning from, production supervisors and managers, you will help to resolve capacity issues and manage resources. Additionally, you will:
- Liaise with the technical, procurement and logistics teams
- Collaborate with the project management team to support efficient production planning
About You
To be considered as a Trainee Production Planner, you will need:
- An organised and practical approach to work
- The ability to work to and achieve set targets and deadlines
- To be innovative and forward-thinking
An HNC/HND or degree in a relevant field is desirable but not essential. Work experience in a manufacturing environment would be equally advantageous.
