Serving some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, Merson Signs is an expert designer, manufacturer and installer of signs. We are now looking for a Bystronic Press Brake Operator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Wednesday, 6:30am–5:00pm and Thursday, 6:30am–3:00pm.

The Role
As a Bystronic Press Brake Operator, you will manufacture high-quality precision sheet metal components, supporting the delivery of exceptional products for customers across a range of industries. Specifically, you will safely set up, programme and operate Bystronic press brake machinery, interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications to produce components that consistently meet precise tolerances and quality standards. Working closely with colleagues across production, fabrication and quality, you'll help maintain efficient manufacturing processes, monitor production output and contribute to a safe, organised and high-performing workshop.
Additionally, you will:
- Select the appropriate tooling and ensure correct machine set-up
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final quality inspections
- Adjust machine settings to achieve precise bends and tolerances
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping duties
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements
About You
To be considered as a Bystronic Press Brake Operator, you will need:
- Previous experience operating Bystronic press brakes or similar CNC press brake equipment
- Experience setting machines
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes
- Experience using Euro tooling
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
