Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our Gynaecology Specialist services clinics, primarily in colposcopy clinics but also across other specialties.

Main Duties

  • Practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Practice.
  • Attend statutory and mandatory training.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Maintain professional updating and registration records.
  • Develop individualised care plans for patients.
  • Ensure patient privacy and dignity.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Set high care standards and monitor via audit.
  • Provide clinical and professional advice to nursing team.
  • Report incidents/accidents as per trust policy.
  • Maintain comprehensive, concise patient records.

Qualifications

  • 1st Level Registered Nurse (degree or diploma).
  • Current NMC Registration.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Knowledge
  • Knowledge of NMC professional standards.
  • Experience in a clinical environment.
  • Understanding of NMC revalidation requirements.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Understanding of NHS issues at national, regional and local level.
  • Experience handling complex, sensitive information.
