Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our Gynaecology Specialist services clinics, primarily in colposcopy clinics but also across other specialties.
Main Duties
- Practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Practice.
- Attend statutory and mandatory training.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Maintain professional updating and registration records.
- Develop individualised care plans for patients.
- Ensure patient privacy and dignity.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and multidisciplinary teams.
- Set high care standards and monitor via audit.
- Provide clinical and professional advice to nursing team.
- Report incidents/accidents as per trust policy.
- Maintain comprehensive, concise patient records.
Qualifications
- 1st Level Registered Nurse (degree or diploma).
- Current NMC Registration.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Knowledge
- Knowledge of NMC professional standards.
- Experience in a clinical environment.
- Understanding of NMC revalidation requirements.
- Experience in multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Understanding of NHS issues at national, regional and local level.
- Experience handling complex, sensitive information.
