An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Theatre Support Worker to join the team in theatres at Southport theatres!

Full Time - Fixed Term 12 Months

The job involves a high level of cleaning, maintenance and preparation of the theatre suite, as well as the safe and timely transport of patients to and from the Operating Theatre. The use of floor buffers and scrubbing machines is a requirement of the job, as is cleaning the staff restrooms and changing rooms.

Enhanced DBS with barred lists for both Adults & Children is required for this post. Due to current service demands, we are only able to consider applicants who have relevant UK experience. Candidates must also be available to commence employment immediately or within a very short timeframe.

Main duties of the job:

  • Assist in the collection and return of patients and their belongings to and from Theatre Department, wards, diagnostic services, post anaesthesia unit.
  • Collection and replacement of medical gases.
