Join Mersey West Lancashire NHS Trust as an Admin Clerk within the Paediatric Department. This role will primarily support the Paediatric Nurse Liaison Service while covering other Paediatric areas as required.

An exciting opportunity to provide clerical support, communicate with staff and the public, and handle administrative duties within a dynamic paediatric team.

Main duties:

  • Answer telephone and greet staff and visitors.
  • File documents and maintain confidential records.
  • Collect and enter data using NHS IT systems such as EMIS.
  • Perform general clerical duties to support smooth service delivery.
  • Assist in covering other Paediatric areas as required.

Person specification:

Qualifications:

  • Good general education to O level / GCSE.
  • Completion of a computer course, e.g., ECDL.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Previous NHS experience.
  • Experience in an administrative post.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Plan, monitor and organise own workload.
  • Deal with the public and relatives calmly and effectively.
