Job overview
Providing a customer focused service to carry out general and specialised cleaning tasks in accordance with Trust procedures. Ensure the environment is maintained to a high standard and safe hygiene practices are adhered to.
Position Details
- Contract: Permanent, part‑time
- Hours: 26 hours per week (multiple shift options) and 30 hours per week
- Site: Ormskirk Hospital, Ormskirk
- Salary: £25,272 per annum (pro‑rata)
Main duties of the job
- Cleaning of structures internally / externally, indirect patient equipment and components manually or mechanically.
- Isolation / deep clean as appropriate.
- Maintenance / cleaning of all cleaning equipment.
- Safe removal of dirty linen.
- Assist in the commissioning/decommissioning of new area.
- Curtain changes as appropriate.
- Keep a tidy work environment.
- Follow Waste Disposal Policy to ensure safe removal of waste, ensuring correct segregation of waste.
- Ensure the removal of waste by contractors is carried out on a weekly basis.
- Ensure that building security controls are adhered to and problems reported immediately.
- Key holder for community buildings.
- Work unsupervised as a lone worker and be aware of the issues.
- Cover other clinics or hospitals as necessary.

- NVQ level 2 Cleaning and Building Interiors
- Food Safety Awareness level 1
