Main Duties of the Job
The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Trust’s strategic approach to workforce and education, ensuring close alignment to the NHS People Plan and People Promise that puts staff wellbeing, experience, and engagement at the heart of everything we do. Qualifications
- Masters qualification or equivalent/proven postgraduate level ability and experience.
- Evidence of continuous professional and personal development in strategic leadership and management.
- Chartered Fellow (Chartered FCIPD).
Knowledge & Experience
- Experienced and inclusive leader with a strong commitment to leadership and experience of developing high-performance, cohesive teams based on an open, kind, and inclusive culture.
- Able to demonstrate proof of impact and delivery against workforce and education performance metrics.
- Evidence of working effectively as a corporate senior leader.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the NHS People Plan, NHS People Promise, NHS HR and OD Future programme, Upscaling guidance, and local workforce imperatives.
- Proven and successful experience as a Director of Human Resources at Board level in a similarly large, complex organization or system.
Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to convert vision into reality, with outcomes embedded long term.
- Proactive and calculated risk management to ensure reputational risk to the organization is well managed.
- Proven influencing and negotiation skills, particularly across organizational boundaries and at regional/national levels.
