We are a well established Property Management Company managing properties owned by other Companies in our Group. We have £40 million worth of property turning over £4 million of rents per year. All our properties are based in the North of England.
Role Overview
We need an experienced Bookkeeper to carry out a number of bookkeeping related tasks essential for our day to day administration and to assist us monitor costs and our financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare lists of bills to pay each day
- Monitoring and inputting invoices into Xero
- Allocate rents received each day
- Monitor arrears and chase rents due
- Resolve bank and receipt enquiries from our bookkeeper
- Prepare and issue invoices for work carried out by our management and building companies
- Monitor preparation of accounts and tax payments for our various Companies
- Prepare statements for our Tenants
- Monitor service charge costs for blocks we own with long leaseholders
- Various other tasks related to monitoring the various expenses we incur such as utility bills for our numerous blocks of flats and the costs of the building works we undertake to ensure we get good value for money
- Finally assisting us to prepare and review management figures for the group.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping / accounting work
- A professional accounting qualification
- Experienced in using Xero and Excel Spreadsheets
- Ideally experience working in the Residential Property Industry

This job would suit a person with a lot of bookkeeping / accounting experience who no longer wants to work full time but instead is looking for a job where they can make a valuable contribution to a group aiming to be the largest private landlord in the Buy to Let market.
