The Role
We are seeking a highly capable ICT Technical Analyst to join our team on a secondment basis. In this role, you will take responsibility for the performance, configuration, implementation, and support of server hardware and software that underpin the West Coast Collaboration infrastructure. You will also act as a technical authority, offering expert advice and recommendations to ensure systems are robust, secure, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise server hardware and software performance
- Configure and maintain systems to agreed operational standards
- Support system implementation, upgrades, and ongoing service delivery
- Provide technical leadership and expert guidance across the platform
- Monitor system capacity, performance, and reliability
- Contribute to the design, testing, and deployment of new solutions
Knowledge & Experience
- HND or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related subject (Level 5 or Level 6 RQF), or equivalent experience
- Evidence of formal, advanced training in relevant technical areas
- At least 2 years’ experience in computer systems infrastructure
- Advanced knowledge of: Relational Database Management Systems or Server operating systems
- Understanding of enterprise-scale IT infrastructures
Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, configuration, and performance management
- Experience supporting large-scale, distributed environments
- Ability to configure systems for optimal performance and compliance
- Knowledge of system integration and external interface
- Experience in: Capacity planning, Performance monitoring, System automation, Design, testing, and implementation of new systems
- Awareness of emerging technologies and their operational implications
