About the Opportunity

We are offering an exciting paid placement for a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our Performance, Analytics & Evaluation team for a 12-month industry placement. This role is ideal for students who want to gain hands-on experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop professional skills within a supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Student Placement within Performance, Analytics & Evaluation you will support the team with a range of tasks, which may include:

  • Undertake administrative duties ensuring that work is organised and presented to required standards and that priorities can be met within appropriate timescales.
  • Undertake the extraction of data from systems to aid other team members in the gathering of information for analysis.
  • Undertake research on behalf of the team as requested to aid the understanding of information for analysis.
  • Provide support in the preparation of data, to aid other team members in their delivery of analytical findings in reports and presentations.
  • Provide support in the analysis of information, when appropriate, to assist the work completed by the team.
  • Attend and provide appropriate support at various corporate meetings in the provision and presentation of statistical information.
  • Undertake all responsibilities relating to information management, data quality and information sharing, intelligence, and information security to ensure accordance with the Authorised Professional Practice (APP) on Information Management, issued by the College of Policing, including the Home Office Code of Practice on the Management of Police Information (MoPI).

Your work will contribute directly to the department's objectives and provide valuable real-world experience.
