Merseyside Police is looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking Estates Strategy Tech Project Manager to lead the delivery of major construction and refurbishment projects that shape the future of our policing estate. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of high‑impact projects aligned to the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Estate Strategy — ensuring they are designed, developed and delivered to meet operational needs, support long‑term planning, and provide value for money.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading complex, multi‑site construction and refurbishment projects from concept to completion
- Translating stakeholder requirements into practical, efficient design solutions
- Coordinating internal teams and external contractors/consultants
- Ensuring full compliance with Planning Law, Building Regulations, H&S and Asbestos legislation
- Preparing and evaluating tenders, specifications and technical documentation
- Presenting clear, confident project updates to senior leaders and the PCC
- Driving sustainability and carbon‑reduction initiatives across the estate
- Managing procurement in line with Financial Regulations and governance
What We’re Looking For
- Degree‑level qualification or equivalent in a building/design discipline (HNC/NVQ4 minimum)
- Strong post‑qualification experience delivering major projects in the built environment
- IOSH qualification and comprehensive knowledge of statutory regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and interpreting technical drawings
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Ability to manage pressure, competing priorities and strict deadlines
- Understanding of sustainability and carbon‑management principles
