Merseyside Police are looking for a professional and approachable Reception Officer to join our team at Headquarters, Rose Hill. This is a key front-of-house role where you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and members of the public. You will play a vital part in creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment, ensuring all enquiries are handled efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and provide a professional first impression of Merseyside Police
- Manage and control access to the building, ensuring security procedures are followed
- Issue visitor passes and maintain accurate visitor records
- Respond to enquiries and direct individuals to appropriate services or departments
- Support recruitment activities by welcoming candidates and coordinating arrivals
- Assist with fire safety procedures and evacuation processes when required
- Handle lost and found property and record details on Force systems
- Maintain a calm and supportive approach when dealing with vulnerable or distressed visitors
