The Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership is committed to creating violence‑free communities across Merseyside by supporting better life choices for young people and their families. We bring together subject leads, experts, public sector partners, and communities to address the underlying causes of violence and prevent it before it occurs. Using a public health approach, we focus on positive, early intervention – supporting children, young people, and families from before birth through to young adulthood.

As the Data & Evidence Hub Manager, you will lead the delivery of high‑quality research, analysis and strategic insight that strengthens the Partnership’s understanding of the causes and drivers of serious violence. Your leadership will shape the VRP’s strategic direction by:

  • Overseeing strategic assessments, research and analytical products that inform prevention activity.
  • Delivering organisational performance, demand and risk analysis to identify improvement opportunities and highlight good practice.
  • Leading the development and governance of cross‑system data platforms and evidence infrastructure, ensuring robust architecture, interoperability and effective data‑sharing across partners.
  • Ensuring all communities across Merseyside benefit from evidence‑driven approaches that support better life chances and long‑term violence reduction.

We are looking for a confident, motivated and collaborative leader with the ability to drive high‑quality analytical work across a complex partnership landscape. You will have:

  • Degree‑level education or equivalent experience in research, statistics or analysis, with strong understanding of analytical concepts.
  • Experience delivering research and analysis in a multi‑agency or complex organisation, using evidence to inform policy and strategy.
  • Experience developing or managing data platforms, warehouses or shared environments.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, governance, quality and interoperability standards.
  • Proven ability to supervise, motivate and develop a multi‑agency team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present high‑quality reports and insights.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with partners at all levels.
  • Ability to manage competing demands, meet tight deadlines and apply innovative approaches to problem‑solving.
  • Comprehensive understanding of partnership practices, strategic issues and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and group sessions to support continuous improvement across the Partnership.

To be eligible, you must be able to evidence all minimum skills and qualifications at the point of application. We cannot accept predicted grades; certificates must be provided. Please refer to the attached JDQ and CVF when completing your 1,000‑word supporting evidence.
