HGV Vehicle Fitters 3 Vacancies About The Role We are recruiting for HGV Vehicle Fitters to work at our modern and state of art vehicleworkshops at Vesty Road, Bootle, Merseyside. The Workshop department provides a high-quality fleet, comprising of fire appliances, ancillary,special vehicles and other specialist plant/equipment, maintained to a high standard and degree of reliability to provide the means whereby all members of the fire service can carry out their duties safety and efficiently. Our HGV Vehicle Fitters are responsible for carrying out repairs, inspections, servicing and modification tasks to our fleet ofScania Fire Appliances and our ancillary fleet. You must be a fully qualified Vehicle Fitter with City and Guilds or NVQ level 3. Have experience of working in an HGV vehicle transport workshop and be able to complete HGV vehicle inspections to DVSA standard. Salary breakdown: Basic Salary £32,574 per annum. Call out cover £5,319 per annum. Tool Allowance £443 per annum. HGV fitters are required to participate in an out of hours call out scheme on a 1 week in 6 basis. Overtime payments will be made for all hours worked outside normal working hours. Hours of work 35 hours per week, Monday Thursday 8.00 16.15 hours and Friday 8.00 13.00 hours.
