About The Role

Salary: £38,510 - £40,444 per annum

Hours of work: 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Service Headquarters

As a qualifiedFitness Instructor, the post holder will work in the Health and Wellbeing Teamwith the joint aim to ensure that staff are physically fit enough to carry outtheir roles.

The Lead Healthand Fitness Advisor will arrange, monitor and deliver the physical fitnesstesting programme for operational firefighters.They will have the ability to design and deliver tailored exerciseprogrammes for body weight management and improving aerobic capacity.

The post holderwill provide day-to-day leadership and line management of the Nutritionist & Physical Training Advisor and the Health and Fitness Advisors, ensuring theeffective delivery of physical fitness, rehabilitation and health promotionservices across the Service.

The post holderwill support strategic development, implementation and governance of thephysical fitness policy within the Service.This includes the selection and justification of physical fitness tests,the oversight of safe and effective exercise testing procedures and ongoingevaluation of fitness guidance and management processes.
