In this critical role, you will lead the implementation of our Security and Safeguarding Strategy, supporting the Head of Revenue Protection & Security in driving initiatives that reduce crime and anti-social behaviour across the network. From trespass and theft to terrorism and safeguarding, this role is key to creating a safe and secure environment for both passengers and colleagues. You’ll ensure we meet all Department for Transport (DfT) security standards, deliver the National Railway Security Programme, and act as the deputy nominated security contact with the DfT and British Transport Police (BTP). Key Responsibilities Drive delivery of the Security and Safeguarding Strategy Ensure full compliance with DfT requirements and relevant legislation Deliver the National Railway Security Programme across our network Analyse security intelligence and trends to guide preventative actions Act as the key contact for BTP, DfT, and internal stakeholders Lead investigations, inspections, and risk assessments Support safeguarding accreditations and emergency planning Champion security training and awareness across all teams Maintain and advise on CCTV and safety monitoring systems Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Minimum 2 years\’ experience in security, crime prevention, or safeguarding (rail experience preferred) Proven ability to carry out risk assessments and influence cross-functional teams Strong working knowledge of the National Railway Security Programme Understanding of safeguarding legislation and practices NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards) Ability to gain and maintain DfT CTC level clearance – More info Desirable: knowledge of ROGS, Railway Group Standards, and Merseyrail’s Safety Management System Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology Industries Transportation/Trucking/Railroad Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Merseyrail by 2x Get notified about new Security Compliance Manager jobs in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom . #J-18808-Ljbffr
