We are looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Manager to manage our busy Transport Workshop. The role entails overall responsibility for the operation of the Workshop facility.
Key duties include:
- Authorised repairs, servicing and modification tasks.
- Advising in relation to the safe stowage of vehicles.
- Setting service schedules.
- Ensuring all vehicles are repaired in accordance with current legislation and operating procedures.
- Managing the maintenance of all vehicle records and documentation.
- Undertaking investigations on health and safety matters.
- Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers regarding lead times for spare parts.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to use initiative, meet and set agreed timescales, and good ICT skills are essential.
Flexibility: There is an expectation that the post-holder will work flexibly to meet operational requirements, and there is a requirement to be part of a 24-hour call-out rota.
