About The Role

Are you confident handling sensitive people related matters with fairness, accuracy and discretion? Merseyside Fire & Rescue Authority are looking for an HR Officer to join our Professional Standards team. The ideal candidate is confident, organised, and should be comfortable working with sensitive information, following clear rules and processes.

You will support managers and HR colleagues with Employee Relations cases. These may include conduct, grievance, bullying and harassment, probation and complaints. You will help ensure cases move forward on time and follow organisational policy.

Your work will include:

  • Preparing letters and documents
  • Keeping accurate case records
  • Attending meetings to take notes and provide advice
  • Using HR and case management systems
  • Producing and analysing data and reports

You will speak to a wide range of people so clear and professional communication is essential. You must handle information with care and respect confidentiality at all times. This is a busy role with important responsibilities and your work will help maintain high standards and support a continued positive organisational culture. This role is a good opportunity to gain or further develop a strong experience in HR casework and employee relations.
