We are inviting applications for the positions of Crew Manager and Watch Manager within Fire Control. These roles are critical in ensuring the effective delivery of our response service and in maintaining the highest standards of operational performance.

Supervisory Managers in Fire Control provide leadership, coordination, and support to Control Room personnel, ensuring the efficient handling of emergency calls, mobilisation of resources, and management of incidents. Postholders will contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, and effective control environment while upholding organisational policies and service standards. Our staff act with Courage, Integrity and Compassion; and as a Supervisory Manager in Fire Control you will:

  • Be required to lead and support control operations to resolve operational events in accordance with the requirements of WM8 of the Watch Manager (Control) Rolemap (For Watch Manager applicants).

Eligibility:

  • Applicants for Watch Manager Control positions must be competent in the Crew Manager role.
  • For Crew Manager Control positions, applicants must be competent in the Fire Control Operator role.
  • Candidates who are not currently employed by a Local Authority Fire & Rescue Service within the UK will not be eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who have a live/unspent disciplinary sanction or who are currently working under any capability (performance) related improvement note/plan will not be eligible to apply.
