Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered paediatric nurse to undertake a band 7 nurse practitioner role in our Smithdown Walk in Centre.
The Smithdown Walk in Centres assess and treat patients under the age of 16 years with minor illness and injuries. They are open 8am to 8pm, seven days per week. The service is nurse-led and offers a walk-in service.
Responsibilities
- Clinical examination of patients
- Ability to teach and lead junior colleagues
- Engaging in meetings across the service line as appropriate
Qualifications
- RSCN with relevant examination and diagnostic experience
- Qualifications in Clinical Examination / Diagnostics / Mentorship and Non-Medical Prescribing are essential for the role

- The candidate must be flexible and have the ability to work across shift patterns, which are open 365 days per year (8am–8pm).
