Merryfields School is a 113-place Generic Special School for children aged 4-11 years in Wolstanton, Newcastle-under-Lyme; we are part of Manor Hall Academy Trust.

The successful candidate will support our school in providing a safe, effective, and efficient learning environment.

As Site Supervisor your responsibilities will include general caretaking duties including maintenance and repairs (may include joinery, plumbing and decorating), waste management, statutory and compliance activities and health and safety checks. As a nominated Key Holder, you will be responsible for some opening and closing of the school premises as well as emergency call outs. You will hold a full and clean driving licence to assist with the maintenance requirements of the school mini bus.

The role will require you to be capable to cope with physically challenging duties due to the built and outdoor environments we have at the school.

You will also have excellent communication skills, ability to use initiative to plan and prioritise work and be ready to deal with a variety of situations.

As Site Supervisor you will need to work flexibly at all times and may on occasion be required to work weekends. Experience within relevant skilled trades is required (including joinery, plumbing, grounds maintenance and decorating).
