Merrydale Residential Home is a friendly, family-run residential care home in Ryde, providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents in a warm and welcoming environment. We are looking for a reliable and compassionate individual to join our night team on a bank/temporary basis for approximately six months. This role offers flexible shifts to help cover annual leave and staff absence, with the potential for future opportunities.

Ideally, you will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential)
  • Medication administration training and experience (preferred)
  • Previous experience working in a residential care setting
  • A caring, compassionate and professional approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work independently during night shifts

Duties include:

  • Providing high-quality care and support throughout the night
  • Assisting residents with personal care where required
  • Administering medication (where trained and competent)
  • Completing regular welfare checks and maintaining accurate records
  • Responding promptly to residents' needs
  • Working as part of a supportive night team to ensure residents remain safe, comfortable and well cared for
