This is an exciting opportunity to join our Ecommerce team supporting the onsite and offsite SEO strategy to ensure that all website content is optimised to help Footasylum reach and engage new and existing audiences through search. The role will require you to collaborate with our SEO agency partner on technical SEO projects as well as supporting internal teams and driving continued and relentless improvement and innovation within the SEO team.

The role sits within the larger Ecommerce department and will involve working extremely closely with the wider team, SEO agency and merchandising teams to make sure the website is fully optimised for high value search terms supporting key product and category growth. The role will be working on a wide variety of tasks including updating the optimisation of onsite content, blog creation and delivery of technical SEO updates. You will also be working alongside our Trading and insights teams to help gather key insights to influence and optimise our customer focused digital projects.

We are looking for someone who embodies the Footasylum values - Collaboration, Communication & Challenge. You will be an expert in UK culture and a brand fanatic. You will have proven experience as an SEO Executive or similar role, preferably within the Fashion or Retail industry. Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and SEO tools would be advantageous. Being able to look analytically at things and create problem solving solutions is a real strength we look for in this area alongside the standard attention to detail communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • You will support the onsite content strategy for the Footasylum website by creating optimised content and internal linking across category, product listing pages and product detail pages.
  • You will manage the onsite blog using trend and keyword data to drive these optimisations.
  • You will carry out research to identify opportunities within existing categories and pages for optimisations and restructures.
  • You will identify new categories and pages that will help Footasylum have more relevant pages ranking for high value search terms.
  • You will be a key element within the wider Ecommerce team, as well as the marketing department to support with ad hoc copywriting requests, including but not limited to web banners and email marketing campaign copy.

We are one of the leading omni-channel retailers across the UK, but more than that we are a brilliant place to work. We value you and your development. We have loads of examples of people moving upwards, across to other departments and given training to excel their personal and professional skills. Our aim is to create a fun environment, where your success is paramount to ours and you are given the right tools, support and platform to achieve your goals.

We recognise and value the importance of diversity to help make sure we have lots of different perspectives when we are building services to customers and the wider business. This is great news for our business. Diversity for us is also, importantly, about building happy teams full of people that want to learn and want to be inspired by each other and our different experiences and backgrounds.

We review applications on an individual basis, and if we feel you would be a good fit we’ll invite you for a call or Teams video for an informal chat about the role, and to see if we’re a good fit for you. We value open and honest conversations and collaboration, giving you a chance to learn about what we are doing in an informal and friendly environment. We want to know about you and why you feel that this is the opportunity for you. Please note, this is not a remote role and our expectation is that you will be able to attend Head Office in a hybrid way, in Greater Manchester.
