We are hiring a Lead Graphic Designer to work within our in‑house studio team. As a Lead Graphic Designer, you will join an established team of creatives and content creators and be working alongside a team of highly experienced producers, photographers, art directors, stylists and marketing professionals.

We are the only UK retailer with the ability to create and produce content for global mega‑brands in‑house.

Based out of our purpose‑built content creation studio at The Sharp Project, this is an exciting role for reporting directly to the Head of Creative and Studio.

The Team

The Studio Team sits within the wider Marketing Department and operates out of The Sharp Project in Manchester. While our physical home is in the studio, we’re in constant collaboration with Head Office and the rest of the business. We work across Footasylum’s Own Brands as well as iconic sportswear and streetwear names.

Every day is different, and the pace is fast. From daily eComm shoots to full‑blown campaigns and in‑store activations, our team thrives on creativity, teamwork, and shared passion for the culture we represent. We’re committed to making content that not only looks amazing but connects deeply with our customer.

About You

We are looking for someone who embodies the Footasylum values – Collaboration, Communication & Challenge. You will be an expert in UK culture and a brand fanatic.

You’ll live for detail and thrive in a fast‑moving creative studio.

You’ll be obsessed with graphic design and youth culture.

You will need to enjoy leading others whilst getting stuck in!

Along with:

  • Expert skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe Acrobat.
  • An eye for layout, typography and detail.
  • Handling multiple projects at once whilst maintaining brief standards.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Genuine passion for streetwear, youth culture and creative work.

Responsibilities

  • You will own the graphics and artwork process from brief to final sign off across print and digital.
  • You will lead the graphics team day to day and juggle priorities, assigning work and keep things moving.
  • You will be a brand guardian ensuring every asset feels unmistakably Footasylum.
  • You will quality check all the final graphics and artwork.
  • You will find smarter, faster ways of working and help the smooth running of the studio.
  • You will be passionate about developing the current team and bringing out the best in them.

Why Footasylum

We are one of the leading omni‑channel retailers across the UK, but more than that we are a brilliant place to work. We value you and your development. We have loads of examples of people moving upwards, across to other departments and given training to excel their personal and professional skills. Our aim is to create a fun environment, where your success is paramount to ours and you are given the right tools, support and platform to achieve your goals.

Diversity

We recognise and value the importance of diversity to help make sure we have lots of different perspectives when we are building services to customers and the wider business. This is great news for our business. Diversity for us is also, importantly, about building happy teams full of people that want to learn and want to be inspired by each other and our different experiences and backgrounds.

Please note, this is not a remote role and our expectation is that you will be able to attend Studio and Head Office in a hybrid way, in Greater Manchester.
