We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Costing and Sourcing Assistant to join our Sourcing and supply chain Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, commercially minded and keen to support the end-to-end costing and sourcing activities that help drive margin and product availability across our ranges. The successful candidate will work closely with the Global product management Team, Design Centre, Suppliers and the wider Supply Chain team to support accurate cost modelling. Reporting to the Costing and Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring products are sourced competitively, costs are maintained and processes run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Costing & Pricing Support: Prepare and maintain product cost sheets, ensuring all input costs (raw materials, components, duty, freight, and landed costs) are captured accurately. Support margin analysis and price scenario modelling to inform pricing decisions and commercial negotiations. Maintain price list across multi Brand Channels.
- Sourcing Administration: Consolidate all buying requests across channels, review of MOQs and MCQs maintaining seasonal orderbook tracker to support factory confirmation of order placement and ex-factory dates. Coordinate with the Quality and Compliance teams to ensure necessary certifications and testing are in place.
- Supplier Communication & Relationship Management: Act as a point of contact for suppliers on routine queries, price updates and further requests related to costings during product development, escalating issues to the management and Design Centre as necessary. Support negotiations on pricing and lead times under the guidance of the Senior team.
- Process Improvement & Data Management: Maintain accurate data in PLM and costing files; ensure documents and records are filed in line with company standards. Identify opportunities to streamline costing and sourcing processes and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
About you
- Previous experience in a costing, sourcing or buying support role within retail, fashion or consumer goods is preferred.
- Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient with Excel and comfortable working with data; experience of ERP or PLM systems is advantageous.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
- Organised, methodical and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and positive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop within the team.
