Merritt Recruitment specialises in recruitment for the Chemical, Life Sciences, Polymer, Personal Care & Cosmetics, Nutrition and Scientific sectors across the UK and internationally.
We are looking for an ambitious graduate to join our Dartford office and receive full training to become a specialist recruiter within these industries.
The Role
You'll learn all aspects of recruitment, including
- Sourcing and interviewing candidates
- Managing recruitment processes
- Building relationships with clients and candidates
- Advertising vacancies and market mapping
- Using Linked In and other tools to identify talent
- Attending industry networking events, conferences and exhibitions
- Representing Merritt Recruitment at trade shows and exhibition stands
Requirements
- Degree qualified in any discipline.
- A background in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Polymer Science, Materials Science or a related subject is desirable.
- Alternatively, experience in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, HR, Resourcing or a customer-facing commercial role, combined with a genuine interest in science and technology sectors.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Confident building professional relationships and speaking with people at all levels.
- Commercially minded and motivated to develop a career in recruitment.
- Must live within commuting distance of Dartford.
- Must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
- No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship available.

- A science graduate looking to build a commercial career outside the laboratory; or
- A graduate with recruitment, HR, talent acquisition or resourcing experience who has an interest in scientific, technical and manufacturing sectors.
