Our client is a rapidly expanding chemical distributor looking for an Assistant Product Manager who will work closely with and support the Head of Product Management on product and development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate cost pricing and support the sales teams regarding all product related matters.
- Liaise with suppliers and global product managers with respect to product availability and price developments.
- Actively monitor price and market developments of the product portfolio.
- Oversee supply chain of goods and ensure efficiency in all aspects of the process.
- Preparation of demand forecasts in close dialogue with the sales teams and head of product management.
- Regularly liaise with operations on the levels of inventory at warehouses.
- Coordinate and organise sample management, liaise with sales and logistics on sample ordering and despatch from supplier to the warehouse.
Technical skills
- Highly numerate; the ability to calculate pricing, margins and costs are key to this role.
- Excellent listening and communication skills with an attention to detail.
- Must be adept in use of MS Office, Excel and Word, Internet, email.
- The ideal candidate will have CRM and ERP experience (SAP) and some experience in an international trading and/or distribution environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and accustomed to working with business processes, policies and priorities.
