Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be supporting Shooting Star Children's Hospice in their search to find a Community Fundraiser; someone with experience in public fundraising and the ability to build excellent, trusted relationships with supporters so the charity can continue to enhance services and reach even more families in need.

Organisation: Shooting Star Children's Hospice

Position: Community Fundraiser - Full time

Reporting to: Community Fundraising Manager

Salary: Circa 30k depending on experience

Location: Hybrid (2 days at home and 3 days a week in Hampton)

Shooting Star Children's Hospices is a leading children's hospice charity caring for babies, children, and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. They support families across Surrey and London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional, and medical care.

As a key member of the Community Fundraising team, you will work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager on new and existing fundraising activities, helping to maintain and develop existing relationships and work proactively to identify new contacts and opportunities for development. This is an exciting role in a growing team within a charity that makes a huge impact across these communities.

The post will be based at the hospice in Hampton, but you may need to travel extensively throughout Shooting Star Children's Hospices catchment area, and therefore it is essential you are a car owner and driver. You may also be required to attend events and meetings throughout the catchment area during weekends, early mornings, or evenings, and you should be prepared for this.
