MERLYN Showering are one of the UK and Ireland's leading shower enclosure companies and are currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager - Scotland on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Northern Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager will be bright, ambitious and target driven who will deliver defined targets within the Retail and Merchant sector.
This person will exceed predetermined sales targets in a defined territory from new and existing customers through effective and strategic territory management aligned to MERLYN's core strategies. The successful candidate will have a pleasant, patient and friendly attitude, strong detail orientation and communication/listening skills, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime if required. They will possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven understanding of persuasive selling cycle, strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional territory planning, sales planning and organisational skills.
- Proven success with setting and implementing account sales strategies to support sales growth.
- Demonstrates ability to be an intelligent problem solver and lateral thinker with the ability to quickly analyse information and identify opportunities and implement accordingly.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
- Problem solving / opportunity identification / strong organisational skills / good financial awareness.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Merlyn sales team to provide excellent customer service and drive sales and profitability across defined key accounts.
Qualifications/Education Experience:
- Educated to a high standard with desirable GCSE, A Level and/or degree education.
- 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Sound financial understanding of costs, mark ups and margins.
Skills:
- Demonstrates ownership and initiative capabilities.
- A strategic thinker with a practical approach to turning vision into reality.
- Strength in developing and maintaining clients.
- A very driven self-starter capable of finding new opportunities and delivering new and established sales channels.
