We are looking for a Senior Learning & Development Manager to own and deliver priority projects within our global capability plan and help shape the future of learning at Merlin. In this high-visibility role, you will have the opportunity to design and deliver impactful learning programmes that drive measurable improvements in performance, engagement, and professional growth.
You will collaborate across regions, attractions, and central functions, bringing creativity, industry best practice, and practical delivery expertise to every initiative. As Merlin transitions to a centralised operating model, you will play a pivotal role in enabling empowered local delivery while maintaining globally consistent standards.
You will lead and contribute to initiatives including:
- Scaling coaching programmes to strengthen leadership and team performance
- Embedding a globally adopted performance approach
- Designing engaging onboarding journeys for new hires
- Supporting apprenticeships and capability frameworks to build long-term talent pipelines
- Delivering blended and digital learning programmes such as Power Skills, Supercharged Sales, and Business Skills to ensure learning is accessible, engaging, and scalable across all locations

Qualifications & Experience
- Learning professional with 5+ years of experience in manager-level roles in L&D, delivering strategic and operational L&D initiatives
- Skilled in designing and implementing multi-format learning solutions across cross-functional teams
- Expertise across the full learning cycle, from needs analysis, content design, delivery, to evaluation
- Strong facilitator with proven success in both in-person and virtual learning environments
- Proficient in digital learning platforms and tools to support scalable, modern learning experiences
- Experienced in influencing senior stakeholders and balancing competing priorities effectively
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale, multi-country learning programs with measurable impact
