The PMO Manager provides strategic leadership for the Technology Project Management Office, ensuring our portfolio is prioritised, resourced, and perfectly aligned with organisational goals. You will act as the architect of our delivery excellence, driving governance, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Lead the PMO team to manage the technology portfolio, ensuring high‑value activities are prioritised and executed efficiently.
- Governance & Frameworks: Serve as the guardian of the tech delivery framework, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to governance standards.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee intake, monitoring, and reporting processes, while setting and tracking functional OKRs.
- Tooling Custodian: Own the Tech Smartsheet (PPM) ecosystem, ensuring data integrity and accuracy remain the 'single source of truth.'
- Stakeholder Partnership: Build influential relationships with the Technology team, Transformation Office, and wider business units to provide strategic direction and support.
- TMO Collaboration: Partner closely with the wider Enterprise TMO to harmonise delivery methodologies, ensuring the Technology PMO operates in lockstep with enterprise standards, championing the sharing of best practices and driving cross‑functional efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Project Management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in PMO management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of portfolio management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and portfolio management best practices.
- Proven experience in managing complex portfolios, including resource planning, risk management, and performance tracking.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheets etc.).
- PMP, PgMP, or other project management certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to drive results in a complex and fast‑paced environment.
