We are currently recruiting for a Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator to join our team at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek. Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for making a difference? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

As our Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in sharing the incredible work of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and SEA LIFE TRUST, helping to inspire supporters, grow our audience and raise vital funds for marine conservation. From creating engaging social media content and filming seal pup rescue journeys, to writing blogs, newsletters and fundraising campaigns, you'll bring our stories to life across a variety of digital channels. You'll also help shape our online presence by keeping our website fresh, managing our content calendar and supporting seasonal marketing campaigns that encourage more people to visit and support our mission.

This varied role goes beyond marketing. You'll help build meaningful relationships with our supporters by managing our Seal Pup Sponsorship programme, coordinating fundraising campaigns, developing our Business Ambassador scheme and working alongside colleagues to grow our regular giving and fundraising activity. You'll also support our online shop, attend fundraising events and networking opportunities, and work closely with teams across the Sanctuary and SEA LIFE TRUST to maximise our impact. This is a full-time role based at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, with flexibility for hybrid working.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a marketing, communications or fundraising role; charity sector experience is welcome but not essential
  • An excellent writer with the ability to adapt your tone for different audiences and platforms
  • Experience creating engaging social media content, including short form video, with confidence using digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience with CRM systems and email marketing platforms, ideally Mailchimp
  • A creative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for conservation, animal welfare or the charity sector
