Fancy working where sea otters and penguins watch on as you go about your daily work as a Retail Manager at the National SEA LIFE Centre in Birmingham? Our commercial areas are very much part of the SEA LIFE immersive experience, therefore visual merchandising and space management within the commercial areas will be crucial. As will the integration of engaging photo and games opportunities and food and beverage vending propositions, which are fully aligned to enhance each customer visit. You’ll have a real flair for creating innovative and exciting displays which improve sales opportunities.

With your commercial hat on you’ll analyse and interpret sales data and feedback information on product performance to ensure our targets are achieved, by making the best use of all opportunities. You’ll take ownership and prepare detailed action plans to maximise profits and work with the central buying team and Group Commercial Director to deliver an effective strategy for product development, margin management and stock availability.

This is a full-time, fixed-term role, working any 5 days from 7, including working a regular fair share of weekends and bank holidays as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous managerial experience in a customer service function
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commercial mind with the ability to think ahead and see the bigger picture
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and implement with pace
