Are you ready to take the reins of a truly unique experience this winter? We’re on the lookout for an experienced Ice Rink Operations Team Leader to join our team at Warwick Castle. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and know how to deliver seamless guest experiences, this is your moment to lead!
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Event Manager to ensure the ice rink runs smoothly day in and day out. You\\\’ll manage a fantastic team of Ice Rink Hosts, oversee daily operations, and be the go-to person for everything from staffing to safety. You’ll help make sure that every guest enjoys their time on the ice while also supporting the setup and induction processes.
Your Role Will Include:
- Leading the Ice Rink Hosts, ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of service.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for rink operations, addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues.
- Supporting the Ice Maintenance Technician and assisting with rink setup and maintenance.
- Conducting daily opening and closing checks to keep everything running like clockwork.
- Operating the Zamboni as needed to maintain the ice surface.
- Ensuring public safety and enforcing rink rules.
- Collaborating with the Duty Manager and first aid teams to handle any onsite challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in ice rink operations, with a solid understanding of safety protocols.
- Confident ice-skating skills and supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in guest-facing roles.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage a variety of tasks.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and key festive dates, including Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Eve.
