What you'll bring to the team:
We have an exciting and fulfilling weekend only opportunity for an Actor / Presenter to connect with and enlighten our guests of all ages, by delivering educational and entertaining talks and presentations based at SEA LIFE London. With your professional and engaging nature, you will be telling the tales of our creatures and attraction, helping our guests to discover and learn about our creatures and inspiring a love for conserving the Ocean. Making sure every guest can leave saying that they learnt something amazing at SEA LIFE!
You’ll play a key role in entertaining and educating our guests, by portraying a variety of exciting characters and delivering educational talks. You’ll be the face of SEA LIFE, acting as an ambassador, assisting the Aquarist team and seeking out opportunities to interact with our guests, ensuring their visit is fulfilled and informative, ready to answer any questions posed. Through immersive learning, tailored talks and play, you’ll interact with our guests daily and perform talks on a roster basis.
In addition to assisting our Aquarist with food preparation, feeding and water testing duties, you’ll be supervising our Rockpool, hosting our 'Behind the Scenes Tours' and our immersive in-house site-specific shows as well as pioneering one to one personal experiences. In this role, at times you will be required to wear costumes, taking on a character to further enhance our guest experience. This is a fixed term contract for weekends and we are offering a minimum of 10 hours per week. The attraction is open daily and so there may be an opportunity to pick up further hours particularly during peak holiday periods.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be able to work both Saturday and Sunday and have availability to work additional shifts on other days if required during peak times
- Previous performing experience
- Heaps of stamina and the ability to maintain an infectious energy
- A genuine interest and passion for marine life
- To be able to learn scripts quickly and take direction
- The confidence to deliver fun and engaging, interactive, educational, and family focused shows in character whilst wearing a costume
