The Senior Global Brand Manager - The Eye (including London Eye, Sydney Eye & Orlando Eye), will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of Merlin’s brand strategy, developing impactful and relevant brand plans that align with long-term business objectives. They will maintain brand consistency and relevance across all touchpoints, implementing innovative brand activities and experiences that engage target audiences and enhance brand awareness. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners, the Brand Manager will bring our brands to life in a compelling way, driving growth in the competitive entertainment industry.

Main Responsibilities

  • Brand Management & Activation
    • Build robust brand plans that support the long-term brand strategy and ensure they are embedded in annual marketing plans.
    • Ensure consistent and relevant delivery of brand messaging and identities across all marketing touchpoints and platforms.
    • Ensure effective brand stewardship takes place with a focus on sharing best practice across the marketing community.
  • Creative Development
    • Collaborate with creative teams and external agencies (where relevant) overseeing delivery of impactful content, campaigns, style guides and playbooks.
    • Drive the brief for product development to ensure brand experiences align with the brand strategy and vision and are delivered on time and on budget.
    • Ensure measurement of all activity takes place providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Market Research & Insights
    • Monitor brand performance, updating key stakeholders and optimising brand activity to ensure all activity is driving brand and commercial KPIs.
    • Agree where market research is required, working with Global Insights teams and ensure robust analysis informs future planning activity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work with cross-functional teams (including marketing, our internal creative agency and operations) to ensure brand consistency and alignment with business objectives.
    • Key liaison with external partners and agencies to execute brand initiatives and campaigns effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, or a related field, with 5-7 years of experience in brand management, including experience at a senior level. Ideally has a strong background in the entertainment, tourism, or hospitality sectors, preferably at a global level. The candidate should have a proven track record of overseeing and deploying successful brand plans and activities. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to analyse and act on consumer insights. The ideal candidate will be creative, strategic, and results-driven, with a strong understanding of brand positioning and consumer behaviour. Experience managing significant brand budgets and working with cross-functional teams will be key to success in this role.
