Here at Chessington World of Adventures, we are recruiting for an Electrician to join our Facilities team! In this role, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of equipment, infrastructure, and facilities across the resort. From electrical installations and modifications to inspections and testing, you will ensure compliance with current regulations while providing an efficient and timely response to all maintenance issues. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe and seamless experience for our guests, with Health & Safety at the forefront of everything we do.
You will be expected to respond efficiently to all maintenance requests, covering proactive, reactive, health & safety, and emergency issues. Using your skills, knowledge, and experience, you will help ensure the best possible experience for our guests, with Health & Safety always being our top priority. This is a full-time position, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 am and 10:30 pm on a rolling basis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Up to date 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification, plus AM2 certification
- Post-apprenticeship experience in a relevant building services or engineering environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing environment
- Strong working knowledge of health, safety, and legislation related to facilities maintenance (highly beneficial)
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
- Experience with electrical modifications, testing & inspections, remedial work, and ensuring statutory compliance
- Basic experience in general trades (e.g., carpentry/plumbing) is a plus
