Accountant – R2R

Location: Basingstoke – Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days at home

We\’re looking for a proactive Accountant to join our Global Record to Report team in Corporate Finance. You\’ll ensure accurate month-end reporting, maintain strong financial controls, and drive process improvements across international entities. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver excellence and support continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support the Record to Report team to meet deadlines and achieve SLAs and KPIs.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to ensure efficient task delivery.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting in line with Finance Hub timetables.
• Assist with accounting activities across international legal entities.
• Maintain systems of accounts and records.
• Prepare audited financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide support to the Senior Accountant on various tasks.
• Lead process reviews and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance Record to Report processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (final stages) with experience in finance roles that include month-end processes.
• Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial analysis.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Shared Service Centre and R2R processes and involvement in process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholder requirements.
• Exceptional communication skills, confident in engaging senior stakeholders.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of risk and controls with emerging ability to identify and mitigate risks.
• Resolution-focused with determination to achieve successful outcomes.
